Value of a Country Road and a Chevy

I guess we really don't know the value of things that are simple like a country  road and  a Chevy.  Today as I was taking my 14 year old son down the road to the next ranch over it hit me.  On the drive my son was tell me about his football practice and how he was doing.  I did not really see his face because I was driving and out here you don't want take your eyes off the road.  You know things like Deers, cows, wild pigs, and maybe even a horse normal ranch country stuff.  But I could something in his voice.  It was not so much that his voice is getting deeper as his feet get BIGER and he eats like a draft horse.  No it was not any of that ... It just hit me.  My boy was not my little boy no more.  He talked with pride and was making plans to play football in college.  He was telling me that he has a shot.  He then told me how he and some of his football mates were going to hang out on Saturday night at the local town event this weekend and then ask if he could in a little boy voice. That is when it hit me again.  He is growing up soon like his sister who is 18 we will only really see him when he needs something. It is the way of things...
